  1.       Classify and explain the thermodynamic system with giving two suitable engineering examples of each. (03) (Summer 2018)

  3.     Draw air standard diesel cycle on p-V and T-s diagrams. Derive equation for air standard efficiency of Diesel cycle. (07) (Summer 2017,2016)
  4.       With usual notations derive expression for air standard efficiency of Otto cycle. (03) (Winter 2017) 
  5.        Calculate the air standard efficiency of the engine working on Otto cycle in which air initially at 1 bar and 20°C is compressed adiabatically to the pressure of 16 bar. Maximum pressure of cycle is 45 bar and adiabatic index   γ =1.4. (04) (Summer 2016)
  6.      An engine operating on the ideal diesel cycle has a maximum pressure of 45 bar and a maximum temperature of 1500°C. The pressure and temperature of air at the beginning of compression stroke are 1 bar and 27°C resply. Find the air standard efficiency of the cycle. Assume γ=1.4 (04) (Winter 2017)
